The Way I Remember You Now
28 Jul - 10 Sept 2017
Venet-Haus Galerie, Bahnhofstraße 39, 89231 Neu-Ulm, Germany
On Friday the 28th of July I had the pleasure of opening my second solo show with the wonderful Venet-Haus Galerie in Neu-Ulm. Gallery director Verena Schneider and I wanted the solo show to coincide with the launch of a book project we have been working on in collaboration with EU Literature Prize winner of 2012 Anna Kim and Topalian & Milani Verlag over the last year. The exhibition is currently open, and the book was launched with a conversation between Anna Kim and myself in the gallery on the 28th, and another talk at the BBK Ulm Künstlerhaus on the 29th. The book Fingerpflanzen will be available for purchase from the 10th of August in all German book stores. For more information about how to get the book, click here or contact me directly.

After two years of planning, my solo show Machinations opened at Galleri Semmingsen in Oslo on the 30th of March this year. The show consisted of a collection of 9 drawings and 6 paintings from my latest project Machinations, and this was my very first solo show with Semmingsen. It was an absolute fantastic experience for me, and I am very proud of how the show turned out in the end.

There was also an artist panel talk led by art critic Lars Elton at Tegnerforbundet, where I was able to discuss the importance of drawing as interpretation of reality and contemporary culture, and as a tool to contemplate both future and past. I was joined at the panel by the three excellent drawing artists Vanna Bowles, Sverre Malling and Christian Messel.

Everything Exists Now
8 Jan - 18 Feb 2017
Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, 533 Old York Rd, London SW18 1TG, UK
Two of my new pencil drawings from the Machinations project is part of this wonderful group show featuring drawing-based works. The exhibition brings together 13 artists who each reflect on their current moment through personal, political and historical viewpoints, united by the common lens of time. Hailing from different backgrounds and artistic practices, the final whole is a nod to the concept of Eternalism - a space in which each moment exists in and of itself, an endless loop in which all these points exist at once. If, indeed, the idea really is that Everything Exists Now, then all moments are present simultaneously.
